Thanks to Arctic Cat for a reasonable, logical, and fair assessment of the subject of sales. Huge companies like Wallmart hype their sales of one item and pay the difference by raising prices on ten other items. Consumers seldom notice and Walmart's profits rise. RSC, on the other hand, is a very small company that sells just one product, Railworks, albeit with numerous accessories (DLC). If they tried the tactic I just described, putting one item of DLC on sale and raising the price of a few others, the constant complainers and willful whiners would scream bloody murder. I am delightfully surprised and grateful that they ever put anything on sale. The cc's and ww's never seem to complain when they receive a major update free of charge, except of course to wail their favorite phrases before the free download has even completed: "it's broke", "they broke all my stuff", and my favorite, "everything on my computer's broke". I don't have enough money to buy all the DLC I'd like to have, either, but it seems to me that RSC sets reasonable prices and if my bank account makes me wait a while, so what?
That's enough soap-box racing for one day.
