Brian is right !*salute*! if geometry changed, replacing existing ES44AC by the new one will break all current re-paints (for example the awesome XDriver Heritage series). I guess they will do as ICE: two versions living in peace together.

First off it is a WIP, so things may change by the time it is released. According to their facebook they have just started to improve the cab, so lets not get too pesimistic just yet. Secondly from the photos I have found the horn is not that far off, the major difference is that the knob is on a raised platform angled up., but the fact that it is not an actual lever(such as in the SD40) seems to be prototypical.

I watched a vid on youtube a while ago on a in-cab footage of a SD70 ACE, and while it is of course not the same loco it has the same horn control and it seemed the guy was pulling down on it, somewhat like a traditional horn lever.

You pull down on the horn lever. Here's a video of a ES44C4 showing the horn lever and other controls being pulled/pushed.

And the dynamic brake lever clearly shows a "setup" position, but we all know that the simulation cannot handle that. **!!bang!!**

Not the same horn lever type though, so we still don't know that

Edit: Seems to be the same lever as the Bell lever in the video. I guess it is a lever? !*don-know!*

Doh! you're right. Here's BNSF 6106, a ES44AC with the same lever for the horn and it's shown being operated just like that bell lever, up and down.

That's not true.
The P42 by G-TraX has a working setup position on it's combined throttle/dynamic brake lever.

That style of horn lever pushes down to activate. RW hasn't got it right yet due to the fact that their lever pulls out. The bell switches on the new ES44C4's are identical to the old style horn switches. Here is a video example.

Is the horn actually accurate? I personally thought none of the Sherman Hill locomotives' horns sounded that great.
