Are you talking about your re-paints, or installed mods in general?

I'm talking about all mods in general. Like everything I ever added from anybody.
This is the part they said that could effect allot of mods.
Quoted from Facebook.

"What will happen to routes I have created or any non-RailSimulator.com add-ons I have installed?

All this content should be unaffected by Service Pack 1. However, if you have purchased third party products that directly update TS2012 files (which we strongly discourage), these products may not operate or may need to be re-installed"

The part where it says "that directly update TS2012 files" you can substitute the word 'update' for the word 'modifies'. That's the way I see it. I hope I'm wrong.

X I think your reading to far into that statement. I think the meant altering the core files, like what the Armstrong weather pack does.

Not to disrespect, but if we are thinking of the same person then its still an interpretation of RSC's FAQ. The bottom line is their FAQ as it stands right now, is too vague. I would like to hear about exact changes from RSC.

Ah! We are talking about different people... but now I know who you are quoting:

XDriver wrote:After reading between the lines.
1. Any default assets that were modified in anyway will explode! (Default sounds and views will be replaced).
2. Any mods made to the default bins will be replaced back to default.
3. Repaints, (this part sucks), might not even show up anymore if they change any structures in the default asset the repaint is from.

...

I respect X, he is great artist and has given this community a lot to love, and while I agree with him with his first three points (and perhaps the remaining seven), regrettably we have no proof that things will really explode or if repaints will not show up anymore. We need to hear more from RSC (preferably yesterday).

As for the BIN files getting replaced back to default... this happens with every update and why I use that clever batch file to restore "my" defaults *!!wink!!*

My read on it is (like stated elsewhere) is that only core files that have been modified will be effected. Plain and simple, with only cajon and oxford paddington being updated they aren't going to break the rest of their own DLC (108 on steam). I really don't think even RSC is silly enough to change things to the point where all the DLC they (and others) have created would no longer work. That would be suicidal.

Current score: as usual, the Chicken Littles ( !*hp*! ) outnumber the C***-eyed Optimists ( !*YAAA*! ), with the Wait & Sees ( !!det!! ) bringing up the rear. Were this not so predictable, it might at least prove a source of entertainment. !*brav*!

P.s.: the language censor won't let me use the word that "C***" stands for, even though in this context it has no vulgar meaning.

I have 10 things to say but I'm stopping here. These 3 alone will suck. It will take days/weeks to get everything that I have modded to work again. *!mad!*
We all need to backup our railworks and that goes without saying. I already have mine backed up as usual. I do mine often anyway.

Isn't this what basically happens anytime you verify the game cache files now? !**conf**!
