I think that there was a railfan run of an AC-12, the the last of a class of cab-forwards, taken out of display, reactivated for a fan run up Donner Pass to Reno and back, but I am not sure of the date.

Also, you are just a young whipper snapper, still wet behind the ears, having a hard time relating to and 82 year old-timer who remember how it was in his youth... !!jabber!! *!greengrin!* *!greengrin!*

Younger, yes, but Whipper-Snapper, No. I remember steam on the New Haven going through Norwood, Mass back in the 40's (1940's that is). I agree, Railsim need more vintage steam, but it need it for the Pennsy route. Give me M1's, I1's, K4's and maybe an occasional class H and I will truly be in railroad heaven.

Ah, there is indeed, a bit of stseam enthusiasm existing yet! !*brav*!

The engines you mentioned are indeed, great steamers. But being born/raised in the West, I loved the UP/SP ventage engines.

Air Force? I remember when they branched off from the Army! *!greengrin!*

But they can't be all bad; I have a grandson, in his second year at the Air Force Academy! !*salute*!

Best regards,

Bill
