That is an interesting fact :D , so there wouldn´t have been much traffic i suppose.

incorrect theres actually a ton of traffic and the reason why they had to singal it! when i left davenport in 09 is when they had just built in the BNSF signalling.

Good Morning:

I have downloaded everything twice and when I run it through RW_Tools I still get these errors and the route crashes to the desktop. I have gone to SMMDigital and downloaded everything I could find. and ScaleRoads twice.

Any help would be appreciated.

Funnily enough the route will no longer load on my main RW install. However have now got it running on a secondary install where I have 3 or 4 other problemattical routes.

Cannot pin down what the issue is but obviously some form of clash with other installed assets.

Beautiful route. Setting up scenario is an issue because I have to exit and re enter RW after placing 2 or 3 consists or I get a SBHH and lose my work. Again may be an issue my end.

Have 6GB Ram now so that should not be the reason and the route runs OK with kust stutters in high density areas which is a function of disk access times.

Highly recommended.

Thanks for the info! I am curious about to know how they managed to avoid accidents; I think this interesting fact (the missing signalling) makes this route a "MustHave", btw it looks fantastic *!!wink!!*

there are passing sidings on the route and they would just walkie-talkie their location and dispatch would verify with oncoming traffic. beyond me how they didnt get into more accidents either. but yeah i think the increasing traffic caused the need for signalling there were about 15+ trains a day on that line and about 10+ a day on IAIS line.

All trains run with train orders in hand and the orders tell which train to take the siding at different points. When u run without signals thats called dark territory. Used to be done all the time, but not so much anymore.

About 10 yrs ago there was a rear end collision next to the engine repair at Clinton and the engineer was killed. The conductor survived. Last year down in Bettendorf both engineer and conductor were killed in another rear end collision. The cause was a switch crew left a switch open and the road crew ran into a string of cars. Thats why dark territory is so dangerious. If there were signals it could have prevented this accident. Going north out of Clinton is CTC territory Centralized traffic control.

Yea, I read that method got the C&O quite a bad reputation in the early years!

Chandler,

Sorry for missing your post. Where exactly do you crash at? Just trying to load any scenarios?

I was not missing as many files as you report and have been able to get them all in with the exception of the ScaleRoad file. But, others are telling me they are missing that one file as well and don't have any issues.

Let me know the answers to my questions above. We'll get to the bottom this.

Best of luck - I only have the mystery scaleroad file missing and nothing else. To run the route I had to put it into a new RW install with a couple of other routes to get it to run - another RW mystery!

Good Morning Trevor:

Sorry it so long to get back to you, but life happens.

It looks like I have 4 missing files, it seems that they show up a number of different times. As I am heading north out of Clinton, I cross the bridge and just as get to the 60 mph speed sign, I am back to desk top.

Thanks for all you help.

Chandler,

You and I are crashing in the same exact spot. I am almost glad to hear that, in a strange way. It means I am not the only one with this issue.

I am still working on this trying to find the solution.
