I won't guarantee this but I think all of the routes from the mother ship have pictures here.

Did you read my post above Tom and try selecting "other" in the route menu selection filters? Or, try other filters. The routes other than DTG's do show up, but the whole menu is bugged. Even when a person finds the cloned or third party route, they may not be able to get back to the other routes like DTG's.

Chris, I did try that hybrid menu system a couple months ago Chris, but there was some reason I went back to the 2015 menu.

Basically I like the more realistic coloring etc in 2014, so I have been increasingly using 2015 just to download workshop scenarios and do work on Donner Pass, since the tools are a bit easier to use with TS 2015.

Isle of White doesn't have an image in the RouteInformation folder. Which explains why it has no icon.

It seems that DTG had a good idea but poor execution.

Been there, tried that . . . the VNHRR is filter-proof!

OK, I have successfully puzzled out the Flaw in TS2015 Menu System. The flaw is in actuality an issue is not with the Menu System code that paints the Menu Screen Tiles but it is with the format of the Route Landmark Picture image file supplied by DTG as it is attempting to be read it from the RouteInformation folder.

I started to fill in the blanks of the "RouteInformation" Folder for each route where the folder was missing or was incomplete. There are many missing/empty "image.png" files for many of the routes. And there many missing folders for the "/Eu/Description.html" file for many of the routes. I successfully filled in the missing "RouteInformation" folders with a generic 'image.png' file and generic "/En/Description.html" file as place holders where needed.

I soon discovered that there was something peculiar about several of the existing "image.png" files supplied by DTG used for some of the route lankmark pictures. They are corrupted. I found that the 'image.PNG' formatted graphic that is expected is actually an 'image.JPG' formatted graphic that has been mis-labeled file extension. Since the Menu System code expects a .PNG formatted file, the picture fails to paint in the tile box provided on the Menu Screen.

I corrected this flaw in the following manner: I renamed the 'image.png' to 'image.jpg'. Then I opened the newly created 'image.jpg' file in my painting application "Photoshop Elements" and re-saved the file as 'image.png' which over-wrote the original flawed 'image.png' file. And Viola!. I now have a completely working Menu System. All I need to do now is collect some route screen shots to replace the missing Route Landmark pictures that are now occupied by my generic 'image.PNG' placeholder files.

I also discovered the the Preload System uses another completely different collection of Route.TgPcDx files in the PreLoad Folder for Route Landmark pictures that appeared to paint the image to the old TS2014 version of the Menu System. And I could convert the 'image.TgPcDx' files to 'image.png' files if I needed to.

Of course we all know that the Locomotive Builders Photos in the 2015 Menu System screens are the image.png files in the LocoInformation folder for each piece of rolling stock.

Along with great help from "ChrisOnline", I've been working at trying to correct these images myself. Curious as to which route images you found to be initially corrupted by DTG?

Thanks

I like to know that too. Which ones? All of my DTG route images show up except the Isle of White one, and that's because Isle of White doesn't have a "image.png" in it's "RouteInformation" folder.
The problem we've been looking at more lately, has been the one in which the route will not show up all the time in the route selection menu, with or without a picture icon. Even if a person selects "other" in the filters and finds their missing route, it doesn't usually want to go back to "none" and show all the routes in one place.

Miata54 and EricMoPar

I use IRFanView.EXE to view the RouteInformation image.png files. When IRFanView reported an issue with the Image.png, that it was actually a .JPG file with the incorrect file extension, I knew that I had discovered the flaw in the Menu System. I do not recall which image.png files are corrupted. I did not keep a record of them in a listing. But you can easily check the files for yourself with IRFanView.
