the strobes can depend on the era that they want the SW10 to represent....then again they may make 2 versions, one with and one without? !*don-know!*

Looking at pics I shot in '05, the prototype #96 has a strobe, a 5-chime horn, and a firecracker antenna on the cab. Nevertheless, the model above is an excellent stand in. :D

Looks great except I'm definately swapping the crossings when I get the route. Can't believe they've come all this way to still use those terrible models from the original Rail Simulator.. (anybody for the clangclangclangclangclang bell?)

Oh, got it. Maybe we can add new crossings when it comes out.
Looking forward to it. RW is under pressure after the Donner Pass misgivings.

Yes, I think so too. If they botch this, there are done in from my part, at least as far as US routes go. Giving RSC credit is one thing, giving them your hard earned cash is something different.
My ranking thus far
HSC +++, they got about everything right first time
NEC +, they crammed in too much
DP --, lack of commitment and quality control
SH ?, my touchstone will be the "new" ES44: I want a fully functioning cab with all displays working.

Hello all,
I have a question, what is the utility of the strobe light in the sw10? when does the driver turns on this light?

Thanks in advance. !!*ok*!!

Best regards.

I want the same after seeing the run 8 videos.

Does anyone know whether TS2012 actually supports in cab displays? The only values that I have ever seen working in modern locos is the speedometer. I don't recall seeing any locos where things like the brake pressures or other areas of the screen were working.

Hey Hack, if you can answer, I was just wondering if there will be enough fo the "Greeley Sub" to have start/end points for Denver-Laramie trains?

The Dash 9's have a working load meter and partially working brake indications. They could do a fully working display if they set their minds to it.

In Trains magazine (Aug) there is a map of Sherman Hill. Wonder if they are going to include track 3?

They are bringing out a new ES44AC, SD70M, SW10, and new / updated modern freight cars. I predict a 3 track Sherman. Also seeing how the 3rd main was built when they still used steam doesn't matter if you run modern or steam. It'll be 3 tracks. :D
