You do know you can delete a post you made. Just click on the X next to the Edit button. *!!wink!!*

You should. I just logged out as admin and logged back in under one of my test names and I saw that delete button, the X.

OK! If you don't see that delete button, you can still delete posts by clicking on edit, then delete the post there.

I just checked the post settings and there is no limit as to how long after a post it can be deleted.

That means you should be able to delete any of your own posts anytime.

I don't have this option in the edit post interface.
Looks more like a group permission problem to me.
It's been a while since I've admined a phpBB forum, so I don't remember.

OK! I'll look into it, although you are in the same group as that test username of mine is in, so you should have it.

I just checked the group permissions and you should have that option in your own posts.

I can't find a reason you shouldn't.

Beats me. I just checked again until my eyes bled, and I have none of these controls.
Not that I need them, mind you. My posts are always perfect, so there's no need to delete any of them.

As far as I know those rules do not apply after some one has replied to you post.

Try tweaking the forum permissions. ACP -> FORUMS - > Forum permissions ........

But be aware that allowing people to delete their own post after some one replied is asking for trouble :D
