Now that is a great idea. Like your crossing gates.

Frustrating for those of us who don't have a working copy, for sure.

Just curious, what are the file sizes of the two file in your Dash 9 folder that begin with an underscore "_" ? Also what video card are you using?

Who can forget the front coupler problem? It took users more than a year to fix. Go to pick up a string of cars
with the front of a loco, crash to desktop. Funny, there was'nt too much complaing to anyone then, except to each other.

At least part of the problem lies with steam.. For instance. I had like many of us previously purchased the dash 9 pack 01 AND the BNSF dash 9s. When the trouble began a couple days ago and my bnsf dash 9s no longer appeared, I uninstalled them thinking they would redownload. They didnt, and still havent..
Complicating that, I earlier this morning uninstalled the remaining dsh 9 pack 01 and did not run a verification. The cache was deleted and supposedly everything was back to where i could at least work on my little route.. BUT..
On starting RW, i selected drive by train, and sitting there in the menu was a selection for the dash 9-44cwns. I spent an hour looking for it in the assets folder and the steam package manager, but it simply does not exist on my machine.. Since RSC will not respond in a respectful manner to my requests for aid, i doubt i'll ever figure this out, but i do have a disturbing sensation that this dash 9-44CWNS is possibly at the heart of the problem..
is it steam or rsc?? I'm more inclined to believe the truth lay somewhere in the middle.

Rich,

(Again) GeForce GTX460
_.sbn 415 bytes
_.sbn.MD5 16 bytes

Could you (or someone) with the problem attach on here (or send me via pM) the
\Assets\RSC\Dash9Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\Dash9\Default\Engine\Dash9.bin
or else the four bins (CN, NS and Warbonnet) also?

I have a P.O.I. to check next...

Cheers,
Doc.

Nor mine, but think about it. We have 3Dtrains right here, Britkits, DTM, GTrax, Scale Rail, Great Northerner, PapaXpress, Machinist, UKTrains, the list goes on and on of all the talented artists and engineers in this community right her.. We dont need rsc..

Hi all, I'm new to the forum.
My name is Juan and I'm from Spain.
I am one of those affected.
The RSC support also sent me the application to check the Dash 9 folder.
The RSC support have told me they have found several bin files and texture files corrupted in the log that I have returned. Finally they told me that I delete the Dash 9 with the package manager and I re-verify the cache from Steam. So yesterday I made a dozen times!
The result has been the same: NULL.

Sorry for my bad English.

Best regards.
Juan.

HI Doc,
Sorry about asking about the video card twice, too many irons in the fire *!embar*! But I see the problem already, both of my _.sbn and _.sbn.MD5 files are 1 bit in length.

Regards,
Rich S.

P.S. I've already deleted the updated and copied in my Dash 9 backup.
Cheers,
Rich S.

Hello, the RSC support has responded me with new instructions:
RSC Support wrote:Juan

Thank you for your response.

If you can follow these steps, and provide us with a copy of the log from the game, I will get it to the development guys.

Right click on the game in steam, and click properties
Click 'Set Launch Options'
add the following to the input box:
-SetLogFilters="All"
Click Ok then Close, and launch the game.
In the game launce screen, go to the settings tab, and check 'LogMate', please make sure no other options are set
Launch the game
LogMate should open, which will record logs from the game.
Attempt to open the content as before.
Close the Game.
In the LogMate window, click file then Save Log.
Please send us the log file by return.

When you send them the file, also remind them that the majority of us that cannot get the Dash 9's to load have _.sbn and _.sbn.MD5 files that are 1 byte in length.
