The folks that advertise on RWA donate for the space. That's about all the donations I get anymore.

I didn't realize that I was wading in your revenue stream ... I'll send in a donation just to apologize for the aggravation. However, I will also continue to report matters such as this on the forum. Those who like the looks of both freeware and payware should know what they're getting into before downloading, especially those with slower internet connections. In Italy, internet time is still bought by the minute in many cases, so that time literally becomes money and downloading something without having been made aware of additional requirements can quickly become costly. Based on some messages I've read here at RWA, this must be true elsewhere, as well. Besides, it's just basic honesty in the end, isn't it?

Now that I'm thinking about it, how can I vote with my wallet if the provider does not electioneer honestly and openly?

Sadly "voting with your wallet" happens after someone runs into the problem and then informs the community. It can also be from a personal standpoint. In my case. I bought DP, and the experience was so distasteful I will no longer by anything made by RSC again. But I am not here to rehash an old wound so I will stop here.

Thanks for keeping the community aware of these problems. I for one find them educational because I might run into a problem you discovered while building my own route, and hopefully have a workaround or a solution for it.

There was no aggravation on my part. You stated valid concerns, and I agree that developers, freeware and payware, should let folks know if there are any additional downloads required before they purchase/download their work.

Honestly though, there's not a lot I can do, and I'm not up for trying to be a policeman for the RW community. That said, anyone that does download/purchase a DLC and finds out that it does require additional content, and the developer didn't make that apparent, then posting about it here in the forums is a good idea, to let others know.
