Reposting charts for stresstool's results, which were lost in the post-hack forum restoration. Unfortunately stresstool's post outlining his settings and system config is gone, but I think it was a Core i7 9xx with a GTX 580 or 590 and multiple 240GB SSDs.

Have attached the OpenOffice file. When I benchmark a new route, the FRAPS results are just pasted over column B. The text in the top right hand corner is added in Paint, as the other ways I tried doing it were no less kludgy.

In addition, here is another run on the NEC: The first standard scenario (not the whole thing), the Acela Express. Not quite a slide show on my system, but not too far removed either.

Chart added. Interesting result - wonder what was up with that scenario. I don't have the Acela addon.

Here's my chart. I ran the Horseshoe Tutorial from start to finish.

Everything was maxed out on RW3, and I had Multi-core and 30FPS lock checked.

Wins 7 64 Bit
1 TB HD
4 GB RAM
GTX 550ti GPU
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor 3.20GHz

Awesome. Do you also have the fps.csv from that scenario? As that's also needed to create the chart - will do so as soon as I have it.

Also, what screen res did you run the game in?

The CSV is in the link there, and I ran it 1680x1050.

There are two separate files - fps.csv (the is the main one for the charts) and frametimes.csv (this has other useful data). Sorry about the confusion - will update the guide to make this clearer.

Are we seeing any difference in performance on 64bit (Win7) systems vs 32bit (XP) systems?

Some people aren't including their OS in the stats.

Thanks
Don.

OK, here are my pre-upgrade specs and numbers:

CONFIGURATION
Hardware: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) Cosair DDR2 800mhz, EVGA 460 GTX FTW, Seegate 500GB, ASUS Xonar DX.
Software: Windows 7 64-bit, latest motherboard BIOS & drivers, NVidia v290.36, disable Microsoft Security Essentials Real-Time Protection, some other Logitech junk was left on.

SETTINGS
NVidia: default 3D Application Settings
TS2012 launch window: TSX enabled, basic settings radio button set to Custom, 1680x1050 full screen, 1x1 monitor, Anisotropic x 8, SSAA 2x1, no command line except Enable EAX
TS2012 in-game options: graphical detail set to High, Depth of Field unchecked, Adaptive Bloom unchecked

Running in the cab with head light on.

RailWorksProc2 2012-02-18 23-37-55-57 frametimes.csv

I am not sure yet if upgrading from a 460 to 560 was worth it.

Update 2012-02-19:
I discovered that PhysX was pulling from my CPU and not my 560!

Northeast Corridor 'Early Clocker' 560Ti 448 FTW (PhysX on 560)
RailWorksProc2 2012-02-19 21-22-13-63 fps.csv

RailWorksProc2 2012-02-19 21-22-13-63 frametimes.csv

Northeast Corridor 'Early Clocker' 560Ti 448 FTW (PhysX on 560, Nvida set to use app settings only, OC 900/1800/2100 +0v)
RailWorksProc2 2012-02-19 22-20-13-32 fps.csv

RailWorksProc2 2012-02-19 22-20-13-32 frametimes.csv

I can see where my card is starting to keep up with a 580 GTX when I OC. I still want to try to OC my CPU but I think I am begining to like this new card.

Hi *!!wink!!* !

In TS2012 and all previous versions of this game, Physx had never been pushed on GPU only on CPU. I have allready ask to RSC support to implement this feature as option for those have a Nvidia card and they answered that it could be realised in a future update of core program ! Wait and see !!!
