One more requirement.

RSC needs to make a usable rotary snowplow. They are based in Roseville.

I hope I am not setting myself up for disappointment. !*hp*!

Great news! I do hope the TS2012 signaling dispatcher will be up to the job with those single-track sections.

This just made my day. But as a devoted SP fan. I have to say. UP over Donner pale's in comparison to what SP threw at the Hill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3ubRfejpJ4

Also. Southern Pacific NEVER owned SD40-2's. They had SD40's. Donner was almost 100% 4 and 6 axle EMD since they didn't like the early GE's. The D9's made an appearance late in SP Donner history. I'm really hoping they research a bit more and include the Tunnel Motors, wouldn't be Donner without them. SD40T-2, SD45T-2.

I see they will include track one (taken out by SP in '95). See first video link.

Rabid: Donner was double track during the time RSC is making.

Thanks Chessie8638, I'm not an expert at all on this area but I was just reading from the RSC site:

"...The Donner Pass expansion pack recreates the line as it appeared in the early-1990s towards the end of the Southern Pacific era, with a mixture of single and double track including Tunnel 41 and Track 1, high up above the snow belt..."

Track one and two are separated in the foot hills and again up near the summit (Track 1 went around the mountain on a ridge line, #2 went straight under in tunnel 41 [Big Hole]). Guess that's what they are referring to.

EDIT: SP actually pulled up track one over the summit in '93.

But please RSC, performance improvements should have priority over new dlc.

Doesn't that slightly miss the point? Isn't the basic argument that RSC needs new DLC and the revenue that it produces in order to pay for the programmers/coders in order to produce to performance upgrades.

You can't have the new stuff under the bonnet without the flashy DLC stuff.

Anyway, back on topic. It will be interesting to see how this comes out. Although as a fan of Canadian railroading I'd love to see a Railworks version of Kicking Horse Pass c1985

Just to get a taste of what RSC is attempting to make:

Kodachrome was still on the roster well into the mid 1990's. So they'll look at home on RSC's Donner.

Was fortunate enough to travel over the Donner pass route from Emeryville to Reno on my trip to the US last month - in real life it is a stunning ride, however, in my opinion this route will fail without Cab Forwards. We need some decent steam. They wimped out on Horseshoe and here is another iconic US route and not a kettle in sight...

!*cheers*!

As much as I support this statement... don't hold your breath.
