The thing had done an emergency stop before I found it !*hp*! . Maybe the 'Q' key would have worked like it does on British locos - didn't try that.

There was something odd about the thing the first time I tried to drive it. I was in the yard, released the brakes, set the reverser into forward and inched up the throttle. And nothing happened. Inched up the throttle a bit more - still nothing. Got the thing up to 100% and still nothing. The sounds suggested the engine at full throttle. I don't remember what I had to do to get the thing to finally move - I think I turned off the throttle, fiddled with the reverser, and a few other things, and *finally* the thing started to move. I still don't know what it was that was wrong that the thing - I wonder if there is some other weirdness with the F4 HUD as that's how I commonly operate the locos.

Slow release brakes.. Q key works to reset the vigilance.

Yes, both are my work. I hope you'll like them.
Both feature Amtrak's Southwest Chief which is the successor of the Santa Fe Super Chief.
One scenario is westbound and a normal run, the other eastbound and challenging. Both scenarios are modeled according to the real Amtrak timetable.

Hey, greetings go to Bavaria! Grüß Gott!

Ahyeah I haven't played much passanger scenarios. Nice to hear I can switch between different passanger views.

micaelcorleone wrote:I think the reason is that the cab is well-isolated. In-cab sounds of RSC's payware freight locos are a bit too loud in my opinion.

I just do not believe it's so well isolated You can hear almost nothing. Engines make lots of noice usually.

Yes tried to run them but in both cases I got famous message "Something bad happened ...". Don't know what was the reason. I have unlocked Cajon Pass route (to make scenarios) but do not believe this is a reason for gameplay error.

Mr. Murphy, I just ran one of the Cajon scenarios and it ran fine.

First thing to do is verify the game files. Open Steam, choose Libraries. Right click on Railworks, choose Properties> Local Files tab> Verify.

Now, if the game will start, on the launch screen, click on the Tools and Docs tab, and clear the blueprint cache. See if that helps.

I see flashing ditch lights when you use the horn! Fantastic! The thing about the brakes, yes, they release slow. Lots of wheel slip if you use too much power. Overall, a 10! Love it! Nice to drive, not hard once you get the hang of the brakes and throttle. Dynamic works! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwww! !!*ok*!! !*salute*! **!!bow!!** !*brav*!

Now, where is the one with the black nose? !*don-know!*

Yes for me the winter scenario ran fine but the other one will not load in either of 2 RW installs I tried.

Thought I would wait for any other input before doing a full verify which requires me to re install all my add ons etc. As the Genesis loads and runs fine in the other scenario seems odd it won't run in the Ridin' the Chief and same on 2 installs.

Seems the engine cab sounds are still in effect when switching to the passenger view in coach.

Alerter and cab signal do work on the NEC. Have a problem with the SB&B scenario. #8340 was to start at 20:59, I was still waiting at the crossover at 21:07 and #8340 had not started. Of course the scenario would fail as I was to be at the station at 21:07. Can't figure out why 8340would not start.

The only thing i find odd is that the engine sound is way to quiet for a GE

it was a wonderfull addon including cab signals, alerter, crossing lights the only thing that would make it perfect would be the engine sound, you have to increase your volume alot to hear the engine sound and then when another loco passes by it sounds like a monster due to the high volume.please fix the sound other than that it's one of my favourite locos.

I beg to differ. That's Phil, before he lost his hair, sitting in the abacab. The other guy is obviously Peter Gabriel in disguise.

Is it quiet, or just quiet in the cab? cabs really aren't particularily noisy places, unless you've got the window open ( or it's a really old piece of stock ).

A little of both. The engine volume increases noticeably in exterior views but still seems a touch soft for the Genesis.

Also - has anyone else run into this: In the Riding the Chief (#4 EB) scenario I hit a red signal @ MP 38 (Frost Switch) and got - well - stuck. The switch was set for me - but there was on-coming traffic labelled BNSF 8340 that was blocking my track and not moving.
