PRR is a reporting mark owned by Norfolk Southern they got from the Conrail split. CSX got the NYC reporting mark.

the driver giving the instructions is in what looks like a diesel cab and more importantly, he's wearing a high visibility jacket

Could just be generic to the message, not relating to what locomotive the player is using.

Ah, okay.

With regards to the guy in the instruction box, it's also possible that he's a temporary stand-in, since there's probably a lot of stuff that isn't finished yet.

I think for US steam you are going to have to look to Rick at GTrax or Dick Cowan. Given the stated issues with obtaining source materials and what has happened previously (Paul and the UP Steam), I cant see RW tackling the US steam issue or even a heritage route (I too would love a Triplex or N&W J, A, Yb etc - just not holding my breath)

Take a look at today's Picture of the Day on the Railworks home page. All should be clear.

WOW!!!! !*brav*! !*brav*! !*brav*!

Excellent. A Pennsy GP9! Now I know why the F7 had to be reworked: all those antennas
I really hope it not only comes in green, but also in Pennsy red. And I also hope that the new line has the typical Pennsy signals and also in-cab signalling.
RSC, this videos perfectly shows how the Pennsy cabsignalling worked at that time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vomP_n4viio&feature=related

Yup, high hood diesels pulling stuff through there is going to be right up my street. Looking forward to playing around with that.

the nice think also is that you can use it for the kaleidoscope of color for PC and early Conrail.

Nothing says PRR like the train phone handrail antenna.

It would be nice if they made a US steam engine to be a default engine in the game. Then the modelers wouldn't have to link there sound to the British Black 5 sound.

I think a 4,8,2 Mountain would make a excelent default locomotive for the game.

They have reference material if needed. I sent them a full photo documentation about a year ago of PRR 2846. One of the only steamers at the Railroad Museum Of Pennsylvania will full access to the cab.

When I saw the screen shot of the ES44 leaning into the super elevation on a four track mainline, I wondered if that was a first look at a Pennsy / PC / CR / NS route? I guess the quesiton has been answered :D I'll take a Pennsy first generation diesel era route, of course I would like to see a K4 or two

and maybe a I1s or I1sa *!!wink!!*

My only hope is the line is equipped with the famous Pennsy Position Light Signals? Just to clarify, the North East Corridor uses Color Position Light signals, the PRR middle division did not use Color Postion Light signal, they use Position Light Signals (All lights are Amber). Lines West (nickname given to signals used West of Altoona) used Position Light Signals but the stop indication used two horizontal red lights instead of three horizontal amber lights. I have to say hat's off to RSC for adding another world famous railroad company and route to the Rail Works simulator *!!thnx!!* !*brav*!
