Finally, I solved the problem.
These very same high (tall) manual switch stands are also in Sherman Hill. This is a route most of us have in our collection.
I could not animate the stands from Lakeside (don´t know the reason), but the SH stands which are identical, work fine.
My objective is replacing all manual switch stands in Portola by these ones. It´s a big job.
I have already changed most of the FRC extension distant signals (block controllers) to one-face type, That will allow me to design scenarios where a train pursues another train located two blocks ahead.
I also want to know if there is a need for some additional lights in the yard. I need to do some more research.
I have also changed two manual switches in the west entry of Portola from manual to automatic (in the main track

I don´t have plans so far to touch Oroville, but maybe Keddie.

The track cut did not need any bumper at all (as indicated in the tutorial). You just cut, the old stand vanishes and then weld and the new high stand from the loaded track rules displays. Then you have to manually reposition the stand.
