Is dehydrating another form of heat stroke or a more pleasant term? Painting billboards in my younger days all through the South, I had a few dizzy spells at times.
We always had an iced container of water. Not to knock you Coke fans out there, but the product is extremely bad for you. Its been said for years that
soda is one of the leading causes of diabetes.

From one that has suffered "Heat Stroke" a few times, stick to water, and lots of it. Glad your recovering. Stay thirsty my friend. !*cheers*!

I certainly don't have a medical degree, but do you have any trouble hearing, or other ear trouble? Ears out o whack can throw you for a loop! If I remember correctly, you work at a facility that does the printing on headstones. Grinding all the grooves, and other operations, have to be extremely noisy! Do you wear ear and breathing protection while working?

Well, just a thought. Enjoy your time in Florida! Better drink water when you get down here. It's been a very hot summer here. I'm the same as you, my wife is constantly, on m butt, to drink more water.

Hope all turns out well!

Bob
Thank goodness you are getting better - you were actually on the brink of renal (kidney) failure and you certainly need to drink less tea and coke,
Don't drink too much Gatorade it's loaded with sugar - try and use an electrolyte replacement solution - much better and will hydrate you fast!
Do you have Hydrolyte in the USA? In an emergency - Make your own 1 teaspoonful glucose/sugar plus 1 teaspoonful salt (pure non-iodized is better) to a pint of water (around 600mL) - will be salty but will hydrate you rapidly.

For info, cocoa/chocolate contains Theobromine - another mild diuretic, and as everyone knows chocolate can lead to death in dogs! https://criobru.com/blogs/news/what-is- ... 0addictive.

Confession: - At first, I truly thought you could be describing early COVID symptoms - thankfully it was not the case! *!lol!*

Bill, the plant is noisy, but I am not in it for the last 2 years. We got a new worker who is as good as me. I trained him. SO I left the line and sit in my office doing the CAD work. I deal with the picky people my boss brings in as he can not satisfy them. I make their stone design while they watch. Many have been in amazed how I do it so fast. My boss is amazed all the time when he needs one to take a design to their house. I learned how to deal with people from NCO school while in the Marines. Some people come in grumpy, so I am a mirror and grumble back, but before they leave they are smiling and laughing. My boss doesn't know how I can do it. He does not know what he is going to do when I leave.

And yes all, I am drinking water. Only 2 cups a tea a day now. I will miss it. I also am watering down my Gatorade as it does have sugar in it. My wife Kerri, bought me some flavored water, no sugar just flavor. She was scared when I was taken to the hospital.

Thank you all for the concern you have given me.

Can't get by without drinking some water. Myself, I find that it tastes better when you leave it in a bottle.

Went to the doctor this week, got a Katscan, blood work. Got a call today telling me they want to have more test. I have 167/40 blood pressure, 167 is too high, the 40 is good. My Cholesterol is high. They gave me medicine for those 2 items. They didn't like my lungs and other things. The scan showed small spots the size of a spec of pepper, one doctor said it as OK, main doctor doesn't think so. So I will be giving more blood and some more scans. Hell to get old.

Just got out myself this weekend. Enjoy your own bed and shower (I've taken like 15 in two days now)

You ain't old yet. Unless of course you think you are old. Then you might be old at 50.

66 in November. Applied for Social Security and Medicare this afternoon. Will be semi retired this February when my SS starts coming in. I can make $18,000 and some change with out being taxed or messing up my SS. Funny thing is a lot of people can't believe I am 65, they think I am 45 or 50. I still get carded when I buy cigarettes.
