I am sure that G-Trax have a very good reason for taking this action and will not have done it lightly. It happens in real life all the time especially in the HO modelling where if you haven’t pre ordered you have little hope. It has already been said in this thread that it might be similar to PT and reappear in a slightly different form. Clamour achieves nothing, wait and see might.

My apologies to G-Trax, I read that the decision was by the publisher and thought that was G-Trax, of course DTG published, G-Trax are the developer. Must learn to read in more precise manner. Thanks Buzz for clearing that up.

No worries, I just know Rick thought it kind of silly.

If it was freeware there probably would not be an issue. Once you charge for it.........
I remember when Clear Creek was released, the logo files were in the package but had to be manually inserted. I am not sure this passed muster but I have not seen it done this way again. Eyen distributes his reskins as a separate freeware download. Britkits has a bit of a complicated system of xs, dashes and numbers to add logos.

Hi,

if I may chime in here as one of the route's co-authors: what has been said before is accurate, this was caused by an unfortunate licensing issue that left pulling the route from circulation as the only possible step for now. (Some of) the big railroads might not show too much support for us rail fans and (VScale) model railroaders, but that doesn't mean their lawyers will look the other way if we're breaking the rules.

Now I see no point in complaining or arguing about this state of affairs -- it is what it is and we have to deal with it.

Cheers

Thank you for your input. I do hope that this can be revised in the future in a modified form. It is an excellent route with wonderful assets. Keep up your good work for the hobby.

If say you had an HD crash and you didn't have a backup and had to install TS again would the Bessemer route still be included in your install or has it been removed from Steam completely?

That's a good question. I backed up TS last night. I'll remove it and do a reinstall. I'll let you know.

If it is in your games library it will be downloadable. Open Steam, check your library by going to the Help tab in the upper left corner, Steam Support, Train Simulator, DLC you own. Anything here is yours and should be able to download as often as you need to.

As you suggested it's still listed as available DLC on my list so I'm assuming I'm still good to go. !*brav*!

Yes, the route is included in the install. Apparently, I had a problem with my previous install, because the only place B&LE showed up was in Build. I was looking for the route in Profile and Drive and it didn't show up. I came here and found this thread and assumed it no longer available even to those of us who owned it. Only later did I find it in Build. After reinstalling, the route now shows up in Quick Drive and Career Scenarios. But, it still does not show up in Profile.
