Well I grabbed Joe's config and it did improve things but I wanted more (of course) *!greengrin!*

So I opened the .bin for the smoke stack and saw that Maxparticles was still 600, so I added a 0 to make it 6000.

Happy day!! NOW I get the smoke puffs that Lionel would be proud of! !*brav*!

Thanks a mil for the hints folks. Now I just want to see if I can get the "wheel rumble" that my B&O and PRR wagons have on at least the tender, if not the loco too. I'm no stranger to modding games, just not used to Train Simulator's conventions just yet.

(While I was at it, I also removed some "rogue scenarios" today, and got all my routes and loco's thumb nailed)
MSI Gaming 970 (MS-7693), AMD FX-6350/6 Core/3.9Ghz, 16GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, Windows 10 Home 64bit

Precision, the quality of being precise...Oh Rly?

If it's free steam locos that you're after, try this list... http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/freewaredbstock.html.

Warning! These are alien machines! *!!wink!!*

Kind regards,
