I just tried this with the Holiday Express and unticked it in Steam DLC opened TS2014 - it was not there.
Navigated to railworks\content\routes and it had been DELETED.
So it does seem to remove the route from your install on your hard drive.

Did it also delete the assets folder? I'm wondering if when you disable a route all your scenarios and history are gone too. Thanks.

OP
It doesn't seem link to an Assets folder. WRT Holiday Express it did not delete any assets that I could see.
I haven't the "courage" to delete a large route that does have assets tied to it so I can't really say one way or the other!

Holiday Express is a "self contained" route, like Surfliner. These routes don't need TS2014 so deleting them shouldn't pose a risk to anything else. UNLESS........... some third party route somewhere uses assets from this route. Which brings me back to what I've said before. With me having several third party routes that could use assets from RSC/ DTG payware routes, I'll just play it safe and leave this new "feature" alone. My Railworks folder is only 53Gb anyways. *!!wink!!*

Cut down on rollingstock confusion

Unread postby railduffer » Mon Nov 17, 2014 4:14 pm

I do not use European Routes (I still like the European country and people).
I have a lot of rollingstock that I have acquired from many vendors. I would like to eliminate the European rollingstock from my long list so I might find the American items I would like to use easier. I understand I shouldn't delete the routes as it might change U.S. scenery.
How can I permanently eliminate the Euro Rollingstock? And, is there a way to organize my rollingstock into different types such as Flats, Boxes, Tanks, etc., so a car or loco I'm looking for is easier to find?
Also, I want to do things right, and give credit to those who have contributed to a scenario (rollingstock). Mike Simpson has included a spreadsheet feature in his late versions of RW Tools. This will list cars and vendors used in a particular scenario. This can be printed in a PDF file, and included with a scenario posting. I want to do the right thing. Would a PDF spreadsheet such as this be proper to give credit to contributors?
Thank you for any suggestions you can give me.

It's just not rail cars and locos that are hard to find. Searching for any of the objects for scenery In the route building activity is a chore to find just the right article to place on the route. It would be so much easier if the objects were categorized by what the object is, followed by additional descriptive information, rather than by author and general name identification.

Just my humble opinion.
