well playing around last nite looking at the coal hopper its the same as the Kuju model. so I just did a little copy paste and got a sweet looking CSXT hopper with a flashing EOTD. Now to figure out how to get rid of the UP shield. We have our work cut out on these but enough of us are working on it we will crack it sooner than later.

Did they not even make the EOT Deivce by it self? So we cant add this on to another car? Mine RSC give us a break.

EOTD works by being in with the wagon as a forward and back light.
It needs to follow the naming convention to work just like headlights on a locomotive.

It is not a child object linked in the editor.

Well, the obvious, easy way out would be to make them completely transparent. However, that's not the most elegant of solutions.
I'll do some experimenting during the weekend, slam a 5x5 pixel checkerboard on one of those sheets and see how it shows up in the sim (oh sorry, game *!rolleyes!* )
The idea in itself isn't bad, because you can really go high resolution for the logos, placards and so on. We just need to figure out how they are actually placed and if we can play around with positioning. If we cannot crack that nut, then the only solution is to 'get them out of our way' by making them transparent.

BTW, did some looking up, the _INTERP_ thingy is nothing else than an interpolated alpha channel which is inherent to DXT5. It's basically a gradual alpha instead of being sharp edged providing a much more gradual transition. DXTBmp and paint.net can deal with it.

Sorry to break up the conversation of repaints, but I found a goodie on the ES44. There is an audiable siren that sounds when the loco goes over the max speed of 75. I thought it was pretty cool, but carry on with repaints! !!*ok*!!

Does anyone else think that the engine idle sounds are too loud? In my copy the engine seems to make less sound when it's working. I don't know what a real one sounds like so I was just curious !**conf**!

Look under Sherman Hill rail vehicles and you will find the new ES44AC.

I can get the file open, but I have not tried saving it yet. Been a little busy keeping the site going and having fun playing with TS2013 and writing some new scenarios and maintaining my own website and working 10 hours a day on my day job and playing Skyrim and a lot of other things in my life. Did you try to get it open or anything else? Why not?
