I blame my phone. The auto correct is apparently smarter than I am.

Hunkering down for this update. I do wonder if the update will be in 2 parts like last time.

If we back up all are assets and once the update goes though can we just put all are assets back in the folder?

You may want to be selective about what you copy back to the assets folder. What if RSC updated some of the existing assets to be 'better'. Then you would have overwritten it.

Machinist has an awesome script which handles copying third party assets and mods back to the railworks folders. This is what I used when the last update happened and it worked like a charm.

It doesn't collect the files if that is what you are thinking. Read through that thread and it will explain how you create your storage folder, and the how to modify the batch file to copy your third party files from it.

Yeah we always get the stuff first in the US. Only good thing about the time differences.

I also wonder how clogged Steam will be with 43,000 people updating at once...

If every TS user updated at once, it would still be a tiny load for steam. Some of the other games have over a million users.

I get lags on Steam on a daily basis. Even get messages telling me the servers are overloaded please try again later. I have had DLC downloads get suspended until the servers were less busy.

I am connected to DC right now. But when the Dash 9 was acting up, I tried about 15 different servers out. No difference in performance and no functional D9. So I do not think the server location has much to do with it. I guess your mileage will vary.

Well there were people saying the D9 was OK for them and they stated their server. Doc in Brazil got it ok, but it didn't work for me from the Brazil server. I had to try. But I was one of the "few" who had problems that helped them get it sorted out.
