I think the Bass-O-Matic was one of the greatest (and grossest) gadgets of all time. *!lol!*

Does anyone have a guess on the next technology announcement? Even weekly is too slow in today's fast paced world.

Notable for the phrase "upload your own scenarios". And the rest of the content goes...?

Let's be pleasant travellers; it's so short a ride."

After Skyrim I'm a huge fan of steam workshop. It so nice to just be able to find a mod and it is auto updated, plus it is a one stop shop for add-ons. I hope they do not limit it to scenarios, but we the way their DLC works it could be troublesome to police what people are uploading.

Did anyone else get that it is scenarios only? Or am I imagining it?

I'm imagining that you haven't watched the UTube video, which explains that uploads will not be limited to scenarios.

Tom, All I saw was the one that linked in this thread. It was so quick I may have missed if thats the one. Other than that I am not a big fan of you tube.

I watched the video and i did notice the direct comparrison tthey made to the Steam Workshop for Skyrim. Thats all well and good i suppose, but I have played Skyrim since its original release date, and am a part of that community as well.. The general community consensus on steam workshop is that it sux. Its good enough for neophytes and the non serious, but its a well known fact that every major serious modder goes through Skyrim Nexus, just as every major serious train developer goes through one of three major sites like RWA or have their own web page.. Perhaps the technology is new, but its not needed. I personally would rather see them using the energy to fix the stuff thats already out there and improving the research and construction of what they are working on.

Keeping things positive :D

Having used workshop on Civ 5 a couple of times I was impressed with how quick everything downloads and installs everything, I've only ever downloaded mods and never actually had anything to publish so I can't say for sure how well or bad it works with civ 5 or with other games but for simple download click and play, I've found it to be ok so far, my only hope is that while keeping the simple to use click and play set-up, I just hope they accomodate for the serious modders in the community and give them a comprehensive choice of options.

I'd imagine evrything would be catalogued like routes in one area, re-skins in another, I got a million questions just like everyone else but thought i'd watch the parade go by and wait for the dust to settle before i ask away.
