I wonder something to do with graphics?? Can wait till someone else know what is the problem with this? Might have to contact RailWorks Support Team about this.
Thank you,

plethaus wrote:You're right styckx, I was getting performance that didn't really seem right for my system (core i7 950 @ 4.0 ghz, 6gb DDR3, GTX 470) especially in certain scenarios - load up "Full up" in Cajon Pass to see what I mean. I was playing around with the multicore tick box but it wasn't making a difference, I saw the same CPU usage as you posted (100% on 0-5). Then I tried unticking the multicore box, closing RW completely, then reloaded it and sure enough CPU usage dropped WAYYY back down and gained me back about 10fps like you said (which makes all the difference when you are looking at 14fps vs. 24fps)
so to put it simply: don't mess with the "multicore" checkbox under the debug options, leave it unchecked!
edit: Also, for a kicker, smack into a cut of cars at 9+mph in the cabview. You get quite the jolt, as you might expect

Can tell more this evening when finishing another scenario.KCJones wrote:I got up at 6 am (GMT) and after a coffee set about some railway (sim) modelling. I couldn't use RW as it was updating, so I waited with eager anticipation!!!!
My very first impression of the new sim itself, not the introductary parts, were a) Much much lower frame rates even on the low detail setting and b) I can't see a headlight beam on the F7.
What is the opimum computer configuration suggested now???? I am running an Intel quad with 4GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GEforce 9400 GT
I must admit to being disappointed as I can't revert to the old sim which gave a much better frame rate. Juddering locos is not very realistic and do NOT enhance the experience.
Sorry to be negative guys but these are "first" impressions and upgrading my computer is not as simple as Steam's automatic upgrade!!!!!
