Is that permanent or just because of easter ?

Looking nice !!*ok*!! Although the text is a little less easy to ready than the old logo

Mike Durdan said he was sitting around bored the other day and decided to create the new logo. I liked it so I put it up there.
As far as I'm concerned it's permanent. *!!wink!!*

Granted the America is a little hard to read on the default board style (prosilver) but it looks pretty good on the prosilver Special Edition style.

Besides, the name of the site is in big bold letters at the top center. *!greengrin!*

Use a dark outline on the letters.

Let's just leave this one up there for a while, unless you come up with a better one. *!greengrin!*

Although I do like the idea of having different logos per season like Google and youtube, . . . . . .

I looked for more logos, and I found this:

I believe that was the logo from a loooong time ago. Doesn't really fit in the same spot anymore and I'm not going to go through the trouble of trying to make a different sized logo fit. It requires too much editing of the stylesheet(s).

How many hours sleep are you getting in a day Mike? I'm starting to worry.

The 'M' and the 'I' in AMERICA get lost against the dark medallion (the I is almost completely gone, while the M is only partially visible). Note that if the colors are changed the text is likely to conflict with the rail image that extends into the black area (it already does somewhat). I also believe the RW letters shouldn't have an outline and that a light color, non-outlined font should suffice - especially considering that other text does not contain this feature. Personally, the flag hold focus on color, while both texts could be contained on the button as in the old design (except silver on black as it is now).

FWIW.
Cheers!

I'll take one. I think some one should make a design using this to paint up some locos. (hint, hint) *!!wink!!*
I can see it now. "Railworks America Rail Road". The R.A.R.R. A mostly black engine with a touch of red, white and blue. Mayby a stripe or an eagle head design. Hmmm. *!!wink!!* Yes. I seam to have too much time on my hands.

The black borderline doesn't help, especially with the logo in "normal" size. I guess AMERICA should have a banner as background.

....I think the logo would look great as well on the homepage as well if Hawk wanted to put it up. Perhaps not just on the forums.

It's already on the home page of the site, down near the bottom. That's the only place it would fit.
I can't put it in the header. That's where the screenshots are, and you don't want to cover them up.

I do need to swap out the old one for the new one though.
