Yep. RailWorks keeps growing, and so is the RSC team too from what I gather. Things keep looking-up for us RailWorks Users.
And, their article could be good in some aspects if it peaks some people's interest and they decide to check out RailWorks because of it.
But at the same time, perhaps some people reading that article would become completely misinformed as well and steer-clear of RailWorks whereas before they could have been interested.
I don't mind a bit of humor,I don't appreciate their
crude humor and
lies about RailWorks though.
To quote a few things they say;
"a full driving simulation for people who dream of a career so boring that real drivers fall asleep".Ummm, okay, perhaps
boring for some people I'd imagine (yes, it's not your typical shoot-em-up or racer game), but obviously a lot of people find it entertaining and fun too, and the strength of the RailWorks Community and how well RailWorks is doing is proof of that. And of course, what's entertaining to some can be boring for others. Not everyone has the same interests obviously, but we can still respect others even if they don't share your same interests.

"The ridiculous bit is that this is a game about simulating trains and you have to buy the trains."Totally false. As we all know here you don't "have to" buy anything extra. The base program already comes with lots of trains, routes and scenarios to enjoy, there's tons of freeware out there to be had, and people can even make their own content with the editor that comes with it. Yes, there's lots of DLC available to choose from, and that's a good thing for people that want to add more variety or might be interested in some extras. But none of the DLC is a required "have to".

"Railworks has already released over a thousand dollars worth of extra material (and now we've destroyed the economy by using the word "worth")."Perhaps not of any "worth" to them, but, for some of us that do decide get some of the DLC, the many hours of enjoyment value we get from it is quite worth is to us.
Which raises the point again that none of the DLC "has to" be bought, it's an optional choice up to each User if they want to buy some of the extras or not.
And of course they're overlooking that it takes Developers hundred, sometimes thousands, of hours of hard work to develop Addons and DLC.

"Imagine a life where you'd pay to do this for fun and WAIT TAKE THE GUN OUT OF YOUR MOUTH.""If you actually press the green button it sends a natural selection squad to your house.""Hell, it'd be cheaper to hire a dozen prostitutes to cure you of your interest in trainspotting."
"This P42DC Genesis costs more than a blow job."Did they really need to make such a crude comments? Then again, it's "Cracked", known for "crude humor" I guess.
It's obvious their "article" is just to bash and insult certain games (and hinting at insulting the people who decide to play said games too) they think are boring or a rip-off without being neutral, balanced or knowing the facts.
