Should be a hell of a route! Hopefully not a PC-killer like the NEC.

Great news. Is this possibly the first north American route that covers the whole distance between real life crew change points?

Wow! That's awesome news. !*YAAA*!

Just look at the rolling-stock list:
Railsimulator.com wrote:With Southern Pacific-liveried SW1500, SD40-2, GP9 and Dash 9 locomotives and updated rolling stock(...)

SD40-2 and Dash 9 in SP livery are completely new.
Also, it's a very, very long route with awesome mountain scenery. !*drool*!
And just think about the winter operations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08PTkFwRoU8&feature=related
Unfortunately Railworks doesn't have "real" snow that can be pushed away.

I guess Paul Jackson was inspired by "Stacks over Donner" by 7ideaproductions.

But please RSC, performance improvements should have priority over new dlc.

I'd rather not have modellers and artists trying to optimize my game engine, thanks :P let them keep busy building new stuff!

This is sensational news! We were looking for a real route to introduce our Prototype RW operating sessions and now we we have two viable candidates on our list. This route is long enough and busy and hopefully follows the prototype well enough to be the first of many RW sessions to come. Our research staff will check out the route (when available) and then begin assembling all the symbols and timetables to create the operating session. Looking forward to having some good RW engineers join us when we get the ball rolling next month!

First the "P" company around Horseshoe and now the Espee over Donner, what a year 2011 is turning out to be, thank you RSC *!!thnx!!* **!!bow!!** The only thing that would make this announcement even better is if they would also release a few EMD SD40T-2's, SD45's, SD45T-2's, GE U33C's and C30-7's in the Espee Bloody Nose paint scheme to go along with the route !!*ok*!! Also any chance of a Espee C50-7 or C50-8 Bay Window Caboose?

Regards,
Rich S.

Think he was just saying they should be emphasizing, assuring, prioritizing, alluding to... Something.. That the performance is going to be improved upon instead of just advertising DLC for us to spend money on that you have better odds of winning at Vegas than it running smoothly..

*sigh*

Its good news, and its unsettling. My current Route ends inside Roseville, and when I discovered that the Capital Corridor goes all the way up to Auburn (on the way to Reno) I was tempted to add it on as a final phase. Should I continue with my work, or simply extend what RSC has done?

They mention SD40-2, but not if its a tunnel motor. I hope they remember that SP never owned any of the non-tunnel motors.

Other than that I am looking forward to this release.

Are the developers RS or a third party through RS?
