Hello!

Unread postby KPryor » Thu Mar 12, 2015 9:17 pm

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. I've tried train simming in the past and didn't really stick with it, leaning more towards flight sim. But, I'm a lifelong lover of the the railroad and find that I keep coming back to TS. I would dearly love to find Illinois Central/ICG content for TS 2015, as my grandfather was a 50 year employee of IC, retiring as a section foreman. He was retired by the time I was born, but I've still always been fascinated by the railroad and the IC most of all.

Other than the IC, I also would like to find NY Central, Penn Central and Conrail related downloads. Those railroads ran through my community, crossing north-south over the IC line which ran east-west. The north-south line is long gone and the rails were pulled up a few years back. The former IC line is now run by the Indiana Railroad.

So, that was my long winded way of saying hello. I look forward to interacting with you all here.

Ken,
Enter 'Illinois Central' in the search menu of the library and you will find several pieces of rolling stock for the IC and *&!welcome!&*

Thanks guys!
Buzz, I found the IC stuff in the file library, but TS freezes up and crashes if I install them. Probably just a mistake I'm making. I haven't learned the ins and outs of TS yet.

Here's a "what if" Illinois Central didn't sell out to CN.
I live next to the mainline at Olympia Feilds, Il.

Very nice! Sure wish the IC was still around.
Looks like I live about 200 miles or so straight south of you.

There is still a "Death Star" running around up here. See it real regularly in Spaulding where the old EJ&E crosses the old Milwaukee now CN and CP.

Partial success with the IC repaints! I got the SD40-2 repaints and the SD70 repaints both installed and working well. Never have figured out the problem with getting the caboose repaints to work. I'll keep messing with it.

Complete success! I don't know what I did different this time, but I now have the IC cabooses working as well. Thank you very much for these great repaints!
