It is a beautiful, well thought out model with only one or two minor errors. I think his sales will pick up some after the Demo, SP and NP repaints get posted.

My first immediate thought when I saw the locomotive was why is it in LeHigh Valley livery when we don't have an authentic route to play it on in our game, surely, a visit to wikipedia, or, another site, would have yielded that many of these were operated by railroads that we can realistically play on as we have the appropriate layouts available now, Southern Pacific, Pennslyvania, New York Central, New Haven, etc, etc. The vast majority of RS11's were operated by short line railroads, none of whom we have layouts for, well, not DLC on Steam anyway, and certainly very few, if any, freeware offerings.
If he had chosen another livery sales may have been far better, why hasn't he done any repaints himself, doesn't he have the time, the loco was released over a year ago, wasn't it? EDIT: In fact, it was released 2 YEARS ago, December 2012.
Just goes to show that these people know little about business in real life, they may be fantastic software designers, but, as typical 3rd party developers go within the game that we've had since day one, they don't think about sales.....![]()
Maybe if folks got their heads together these 3rd party creators could get lots of sales, we have lots of rolling stock content and locomotives repainted for Wisconsin, Milwaukee Road, Norfolk & Western, Chicago and North Western, Denver Rio Grande Western, Kansas City Southern, etc, etc, but, do we have authentic routes for them, no, after 7 years, we still don't have anything, don't people look to see what routes we have in the game and THEN create something everyone could utilise on them, it's not rocket science surely, and I'm surprised that the route makers haven't built anything yet for these layouts that used to be operated on by all and sundry, many fallen flag railroads would still generate interest amongst fans of American locomotives.....And Payware vendors would make more money if they put appropriate liveries on their locomotives to sell firstly, and do repaints later, the more the merrier, you don't need much to make money in this game, excellent software designer skills and common sense marketing.
Cheerz. ex-railwayman.
