Be gentile...

Long time user of Trainz although I will state I really have no idea what I am doing. I guess it is fair to say that I am a casual player, one who "likes" trains, driving them & creating my own layouts (although not nearly as complex as the rest of you all), I also enjoy downloading routes and driving trains around those routes.

Recent issues with Trainz has led me here in the hope that this interface will be a lot easier to navigate & manipulate than Trainz ever was. Just tonight I discovered all the buildings on a layout I had been working on for the last 3 days has now disappeared.

I really dont have a lot of time between work, the fire department that I belong to & training to play but what time I do have I look forward to an enjoyable experience, not having to be bothered by mismatched Kuids, and database corruptions, ect, ect..

So bear with me in the coming weeks as I try to learn this now new interface and learn how to create routes & download routes. I only hope that adding content to the game is easier than Trainz is/was?

Thanks.

I think you will find this a lot easier but you will have to go through a small learning curve.

Welcome aboard. :D

Ha, tell me about it. A lot of sit at the PC and wade through the menu's ti figure it all out. I was playing around today with track laying & consists. Some things I liked & some I didnt. What would be neat would be to have a blend of some Trainz functions & Railworks functions all in one interface.

Youtube though is helping out a lot and have downloaded a lot of videos on the topic.
