Question about a route

Unread postby 5292nate » Mon Nov 19, 2012 11:20 am

Is there a US route available, that has no mountain pass, and is just mainline running? That is the kind of route I want to run. For example, the CSX river line. I don't think anyone would build a route that long, but, that kind of relatively level running is what I want to do.

Thanks

Nathan

There is a P&LE route and a Connelsville to Baltimore Route out there somewhere. It is not posted here anywhere. The best most stable one though is The North Eastern Rail Works (NERW) PA Division by our own Bob Artim which has a long mainline run and lots of happenings during it. There are a ton of scenarios for it and a free roam. It is here in the 2012 route section. All these are pretty flat.

Hope that helps.

NERW PA Div. Is probably one of, if not the single best route available for RW, IMO (It's pretty close between that and HSC). It is more or less completely flat and free to boot.
