Being interested in the ICE-3, one of the first things I did after the update was to clear my cache, and then run a couple of scenarios, one on the Munich line, and one on the NEC. Very cool. Never did get to the 280 mph speed limit though. *!lol!*

I also didn't manage to get the ICE3 to go faster than maximum track speed on my first orientation run, only reaching about 240 km/h. It is quite slow in acceleration after the initinal jump start. The ICE3 has complicated safety systems, really need to read the manual on LZB etc.

Did you notice any superelevation on the Munich - Augsburg high speed tracks? I didn't, even though there are 200 km/h curves which require you to brake down from track speed.

Superelevation is defined in the track rule and the tracks bin has only 122 occurences of it being applied out of 3756 track pieces total. I wonder also ....

I "tested" the ICE3 today on the Munich route and stretched it's legs. Played the Standard scenario that was a night-time run.
I ignored the all the speed-limits, and managed to get it up to 308 km/h ... *ZoooM* It was flying. :D

Then I hit a section in which the limit was 100 zone, entered a curve and want flying off the rails. !*roll-laugh*!
Good thing this is a Train-Sim. *!!wink!!*

Ach du lieber! Let's hope that you have a good lawyer! (Must have been fun, though.)

Can someone tell me what the "special discount price" actually is for those of us who purchased 2013? I'd sort of like to know before I decide if I want to buy it.

You can get the Deluxe Version including Munich-Augsburg for just £10 / €12 / $16 / 260Ru / $8.50CIS.
Simply add TS2013 Deluxe to “Cart”, the price will automatically be discounted at the point of purchase.

If you upgraded FREE to Train Simulator 2013:
(If you do NOT have Sherman Hill in your collection this is your option) TS2013 Deluxe can be purchased for the special price of £29.99 / €36.99 / $45.99 / 709Ru / $23.49CIS
(Normally: £34.99 / €42.99 / $54.99 / 849Ru / $27.99CIS)

From the first post. (emphasis added is mine)

If you bought TS2013 Standard, you paid £19.99 / €24.99 / $29.99 / 449Ru / $14.99 CIS if you picked it up at full price. That means that when combined with the special price for the TS2013 Deluxe, you pay the same as someone who only did the free upgrade and purchases TS2013 Deluxe but you potentially received two more routes because NEC and IOW are not included in the Deluxe version.

Way back they said they would release Sherman Hill as a stand-alone expansion (I also have not interest in Euro routes). Still waiting..

Hope they release stand-alone at a reasonable price soon..
