help for newbie

Unread postby fluteman70 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:41 pm

I am 71 and maybe too old to take on Train Simulator 2012. I need a "Train Simulator Book for Real Dummies". I have found some tutorials but they are too advanced. I need a "start here with step 1 tutorial". Can anyone direct me to some very basic information?
TIA,
Fred

Hi Fred,

Welcome aboard!

When you start your Train Simulator 2012, take a look at the "Tools & Docs" tab. On the right side are links to some PDF documents. Try the Quickstart guide first. Hopefully, that will get you started.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks
Don

With the quick start guide in hand, try doing the tutorials that come with RW and you should start to get a feel for things real quick. Good luck and ask more questions if you get stuck. *&!welcome!&*

I did the first two tutorials and then got lost! (Don't worry I'm 23 and an avid gamer!!!)

It just takes awhile, some games are like that. Just keep trying, and don't give up! You're never to old to do anything in life.
