I've since found numerous videos of cabooses in use. I'll eat my words there.

It's "cabeese" I'm gonna find a well used one in northern Arizona, move it to a spot of land and live in it. Find a few more and start a condo/ cabeese community. I'll be rich! (or totally broke)

Hmmmm, thinking about that one for a bit...

We had brake vans virtually from the outset of railways/railroading in the UK, yet the term never made it across the pond. I wonder where the word caboose actually came from in the first place? It'd be interesting to find out.
