The most noticeable upgrades will be the projecting lights and rain effects featured on all optimized locos. The lighting effects are part of engine bin files (as children objects), and so far I know (I may be wrong) the rain effects are also included in the engine bin files (wipers blueprints sections), which means (in case I'm not wrong) that the re-paints won't have the new features (headlights, probably cab lights, and rain) until the re-painters redone their works with the new engine(s) bin files. Names of files will be the same, but the problem is what they will be holding inside.

They can if they want, they already did a really great ditch lights with SD40T-2 of Donner... RSC "can", is just a question of "want"...

If RSC does not add ditch lights this go around I will set it up for you.

I am also thinking of superdetailing this beauty.

I already have all the parts. It just a matter of getting the perfect repaint to work with.

I am definitely very glad to see this and I hope upgrades to other loco addons start rolling out in numbers, but I won't keep my hopes up too much!

Awesome, Thanks! And that Geep would look great on Jerry's AND, I love GP38-2s. They're my favorite modern locomotive. :)

The fine print:

I will not do the repaint. I have wayyyyyy to many commitments to catch up on. Also if you look up my history of my repaints, you will find that I take up to three months to finish one. If someone can make a "perfect" repaint, I will add all the jewelry.

Actually... I really meant to release all my super detailing parts to be used by the community, but I have a serious lack of documentation so I have held off. I lost confidence when my UPY-588 could not be deciphered by a few members here, and truth be told all the parts you need to super detail this NS prototype are on the UPY-588.

If someone what to write this documentation for me, which essentially be a step by step process of how to add children to a model, adding the LUA scripts for the lights, and how to edit the GEOs (yes this is necessary and I allow it), then PM me. Please keep in mind though that I need someone to help me work on this and not be an apprentice to me.

Volume 1 has 19 individual parts and is done.
Volume 2 has 18 individual parts and will likely get 5 more before I am done.
Volume 3 will likely have the snow gear MadMike, mdurdan, and I have been working on for DP ... but could be easily used for TP.

These parts are useful for the GP38-2, GP15-1, GP7 which are all freeware, and several of the Britkits switchers (watch for news on this soon).
