"..... When RSC finally unleashes the BIG UPDATE..."

Unread postby Cardinal51 » Fri Mar 30, 2012 2:30 pm

In another thread the following was posted:

RW under utilizes the video card anyways. When RSC finally unleashes the "BIG UPDATE" maybe some work the CPU is doing will finally be offloaded to the video card. For now, it's the CPU that matters.

Is the mentioned updated in the pipeline ? wishfull thinking ? announced ? promised ? being beta tested ?

Any info on that ?

Wishful thinking.
A recent release was tested with over 300 beta testers and solved some problems.
To my knowledge no further work has been discussed, and if beta testers know about it, they can't answer your question because they are under a NDA.

Yes, that release was already pushed out. I am not sure what Chris meant by "BIG UPDATE"... it could be mythology.

Oh, come on, y'all. "The Big Update" that RSC has been talking about for months and months, maybe a year on now. The game engine core update, the multi core CPU usage, utilizing the video card more, offloading CPU usage.

I can't remember where all the blurbs from various RSC staff have posted here that they are working on all this "stuff". I may be old, and sometimes I don't remember if I ate lunch or not, but I'm not crazy. Yet. !**duh*!! !*don-know!*
