Question about Aerosoft

Unread postby OldProf » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:40 am

Before buying a copy of the Cologne - Dusseldorf route, I looked at the product pages on both the RSC and the Aerosoft websites. I could have purchased it as a download from Aerosoft and saved a few dollars -- well, more than a few, actually, since I don't have to pay European VAT. However, I could not find any information on Aerosoft's site about whether their package includes a manual and scenarios in English as well as German. So I bought from RSC instead, receiving scenarios with instructions in English and a dual-language user manual.

I feel sure that some English-speaking members of this forum have purchased directly from Aerosoft and would like to know from them whether their products include English translations. By the way, the translations included in the C - D package from RSC are extremely good: a vast improvement over the "Gerlish" found in some items that I've acquired from German content providers in the past.

Aerosoft also has a US shop: http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd,,50283

If they sell C-D in the US shop, I think it's pretty sure that it is the English version. *!!wink!!*

Hello Tom,

I've only purchased one item for my Railworks 3 and that was SAD's Koeblitzer Mountain Route, the download was an .exe application which was easy to install and came with various scenarios, in German and English, as well as a 44 page manual in both German and English by Aerosoft, which included the different types of German signalling and the mileages and running times between all of the stations, it was a nice book to read, I've also bought a lot of content for my Flight Simulator from Aerosoft and have never had any problems at all with them in the past, they're a pretty good company to trade with.

Many thanks to both of you, especially for the URL of Aerosoft's English-language site.
