PHYSICS QUESTION

would lowering the mass of the loco make it more difficult to pull against a consist? or would you have to raise the mass of the cars in order to make it more difficult to pull?

Lowering the mass on the loco will cause wheelslip earlier than normal. Adding mass to the cars is the way to go.
