Veryfying local game cache

Unread postby ozinoz » Mon Feb 13, 2012 9:04 pm

No matter how many times I run this, how long it takes or when I run this, I always get a return that one file could not be verified and will be reacquired. The dialogue box never says which file and I assume it is never acquired.

What are the general results of this process - does everybody run a fully verified cache? How do I establish which file it is and force a reacquisition? I am just trying to determine why my newly purchased K4's wont run

!*cheers*!

You just run it again until it no longer reports missing files.
Sometimes with bad connections, server problems, etc, some files are difficult to get.

After some problems I had last month, I verify the local cache at least once a week, usually more often as I install new stuff.

I rarely have to run it more than twice at a go--first time with files flagged, second time no files flagged. I'm not sure but I think it reacquires the problem files before it reports to you that it's done with the verification process.

But don't quote me on that.
