train speeds

Unread postby freighttrainwebb » Tue Jan 10, 2012 7:54 am

I have noticed a peculiar thing with the speeds of some trains especially passenger ones, in order to meet the time table and the maximum speed is 125 mph I can only get 94 mph so in some cases I do not arrive on time.

I was not familiar with the fact about Microsoft and TS are they bringing out a new one ?, I know a long time ago they were working on one but I thought it was a dead issue.

About the speed, the scenario creator have to (re)calculate the timetable according to the physics performance of player consist, otherwise the timetable won't be achievable even if you drive like a Formula-Train pilot shaking and jostling your passengers (totally not prototypical, huh?) *!!wink!!*

Nope! Ya' got that one off a little. *!!wink!!*
MSTS2, or X as the case may be, was under development by Microsoft and had no involvement with EA or Kuju what so ever. It was being developed by a Microsoft subsidiary called ACES studio.

RailSimulator was originally developed by Kuju with EA signed up as the distributor. Then EA dropped it and it was eventually taken by the reigns by RS.com
