I am totally flummoxed by the British freight electrics. How the dicken do you drive these things? How do you keep the throttle live so you can keep moving? I thought I had it figured out but when I went to the next scenario, I couldn't even get the throttle to work. And of course there is no electric tutorial to be had.

Some advice or a pointer to an earlier discussion would be appreciated.

I didn't have this much trouble with steam (let alone diesel) though that may be because I've run plenty of steam in other simulators. :)

If you look in the Railworks\Manuals\EN folder you will see a file named 'Driving a Class 86.pdf' - that should tell you all you need to know.

Personally I have given up driving any of the modern UK routes what with beeps every minute or so and having to click buttons to keep the things going. Not really what I want, I like to watch the scenery.

There are a couple of You Tube videos on how to drive the Class 86 in Railworks, I think the Class 76 may be slightly different when the locomotive gets finished by RS.com in January, we will have to wait and see, but, it's like driving any locomotives from around the world all you need is a quite a bit of practice and it gets easier every day. I never knew how to drive a Geep or Dash 9, SD40-2, SW1500 until I got the game, now, I'm fairly competent and it enhances the simulator driving side of things no end. It's fun, just like flying a Jumbo jet, you're in complete control.......

76s don't notch up and down like that though, do they? just have that awesome enormous rachet control. I was rather hoping they had manual field controls also, but I don't think they do.
