If you can hold on for a bit, I am starting to write a blog post about how to go about doing this.

Search & replace chunks in tracks.bin for the route after you've included the scalerail package folder in the asset list, but no point telling you details when they're coming already :)

If you use the "replace all" function, it's one easy step. You can also use it to replace switch stands.

One thing to remember about replacing tracks - ScaleRail has a more realistic bed profile (higher) than detault track, so you will need to even out the roadbed with the snap-tool afterwards.

RW3 seems to have found a little issue with the snap tool - when you snap to a track loft, quite often it leaves a gap so the track floats slightly. This isn't really an issue until you turn shadows up higher, and then... your track leaves visible shadows.

Ummm, yeah, the shadows have given me a bit of grief since RW3 debut. Now that the track casts shadows, im seeing a lot of places where the snap-to didnt work like it was supposed to. Lots of fixing to do.

There is a tutorial on replacing track on the RW_Tools site, have a look at http://www.rstools.info/tutorials/Replacing_Track.pdf which should help you.

There are a number of RW_Tools tutorials on the site's main page at www.rstools.info if you look on the left side of the page under Tutorials

I didn't even know that help file existed :D I really should look to see what else I am missing out on.

Well... I guess I don't need to finish my blog post about how to do this.
