The difference between the 3 first pictures is really subtle.

Glad you posted the photos, I thought something about the front porch looked funny. I was thinking there was not as much room on the T-2's between the nose and the front rails as a regular 40-2. So, what is this? A 45-T2?

Yes that is a SD45T-2 (but given it's a leaser, probably a SD40-3 in a tunnel motor body but that's something else). Easiest way to spot a 40T-2 and a 45T-2 is to look above the rear intake screen. If there are 2 (not sure what they are) square covers it's a 40T-2. If there is 3 it's a 45T-2.

Also note the SD40T-2 came with various length noses. 88", 118" and 123" for room to fit the LOCOControl (early version of what today we call DPU).

I don't see any difference in the first three screen shots, only in the next two photos.

Whatever mess RSC makes of it, someone here will fix it up right soon I'm sure. There is quite a community of modelers building up here, and I for one love it. !!*ok*!!
