Integrity of non-Steam files?

Unread postby OldProf » Thu Nov 10, 2011 10:51 am

After being hit by a brief blackout while running RW3 yesterday, I opened Steam and verified the integrity of my RW files. That led me to wonder whether non-Steam files, such as 3rd party add-ons, also lose integrity (perhaps while running for public office?) over time. Should RW users reinstall 3rd party packages from time to time?

I'd suggest to reinstall 3rd-party Addons if it seems something's not loading or working properly with it, otherwise if it still seems to be working fine then it's probably ok to just leave it be. Also, aside from the "Verify integrity..." option, often times doing a "Clear Cache" from the launcher's Tools & Docs tab will resolve issues, and it's also good practice to use the Clear Cache after installing any new Addons or DLC.
