RW Tools Thumbnail Preview Pane

Many of you have noticed by now that Mike Simpson's latest versions of RW Tools include a Thumbnail Preview Pane in the "Edit Scenarios" function. It is very helpful for me to be able to see the freight cars before I substitute them into my favorite scenarios. The problem is that there is no easy function (yet) to supply the needed thumbnail pictures. I have been adding some pictures along and plan to send them to Mike so he can update the picture file on his website.

If you would like to join us in this process, your thumbnails need to be 325 x 203 pixels and they should be named exactly as the name appears in the RW Tools "Edit Assets" function. Mike's folder structure is C:\Program Files\RW_Tools\Thumbnails\Scenario Tools\ and under that subdirectory he has the following folders: Diesel, Electric, Freight Wagon, Passenger, Steam, and Tenders. You can browse Mike's subdirectories to see what pictures are already available. I have also included appropriate thumbnails in my latest postings to Railworks America for your enjoyment.

Mike also has preview pictures of scenery objects and other items if you would like to explore. I really appreciate Mike's willingness to listen to "crazy" ideas and try to make them happen. RW Tools is one of the most used utilities we have and it keeps getting better. If you don't have RW Tools yet, I highly recommend it.
