Anyone have any idea how many of us Colonists play this simulator compared to Euros or other places for that matter?

Time to place a map on the wall and get a box of push-pins! But seriously,it seems the number of active users is not what it was even a year ago. Maybe there is a way to create a map with an application that will read our members location.

I understood you meant active users. I never refer to this platform as a "game". I thought your focus was on North America,as that is what this forum is for. I am interested in knowing. I would love to know how all of the rail simulation platforms are being used in the USA.

!*roll-laugh*! I guess I didn't make myself clear (what's new) . What I wanted to know is like what percentage of players of the sim are from US, South America, Europe (by country if possible) Asia, Africa, and let's not forget our friends from Australia? Just curious about that.

Perhaps a poll could be created, although the current functionality is rather limited. I looked at creating something in the "Poll" section, under the "New Topic", "Poll Creation" tab, but it only allows for 10 options (or selections); so obviously it does not allow enough selections to support individual states, territories, or countries in most continents (Antarctica excepted).

Unless the current "options" count could be increased; a solution might be to create individual polls for specific regions, but even Canada for example, has 10 provinces and 3 territories; so this would have to be further broken down into East-West regions and likely be too complicated to manage, especially for countries with even more boundaries.

I recall seeing a forum somewhere, that had a world map, ala "Google Earth" that allowed users to place a map pin on their location; unfortunately, I don't remember which forum. Perhaps there is some sort of off-site function that would allow for something similar? This is all above my pay-grade, but perhaps someone else will have an idea about how to implement such a function. !*don-know!*

I was hoping there were some statistics out there somewhere in Internetland that would have information on who plays what sims and such however so far it's escaped me if such a thing exists.

I can't find anything in Steam DB that covers this.

DTG and Steam should have the player breakdown by location. Maybe they regard it as commercially sensitive but might share it with developers.

This was an answer to a similar question in 2017.

"TrainSim-Steve [developer] 11 Jul, 2017 @ 8:33am

So just to put this into proper perspective, Australians that own some version of TS are just 3% of the total audience. Currently, Germany represents the biggest ownership overall at 18%, with UK in 2nd place at 12% and both US and France in 3rd place at 10% each."
