It wasn't what I wrote in the forum. It's what I did reporting each and every time that one of those geniuses over there belittled a developer individually or said someone was not trying or used disparaging remarks about items. As you can imagine with some of the characters it was almost every post they made. I also asked several times why some of these posts were not culled without me having to report them. None of it was in public.

Something happened, several of the known offenders are gone or have quieted their tone. Still to punish the messenger for reporting obvious rules violations instead of proactively policing the inflammatory rhetoric before it gets out of hand is unconscionable and serves no purpose except to embolden the bad actors.

Some of you might remember a post that I made here about the comparisons of a screenshot I had taken here I think everyone here knew what I was posting about. I posted the same thing over there and more or less got ridiculed about it and even got told I was confused. I felt quite hurt by these comments as I knew what I was on about having had computers since 1985. Some of the guys over there one called Pookeyhead (When I first went there I knew straight away a person with a forum name like that was trouble and they certainly are) are one of the worst offenders of being rude to other members. Gone are the days when forums were friendly. I remember back in the day when I had Flight Simulator 98 I belonged to a forum on Flightsim.com and everyone treated each other as if you were family know hatred for one another as sometimes happens a lot today. So much for my senior ramblings at 74. BTW this forum comes across as being friendly to me.

That is not the real history of the Steam DTG forum. 10 years ago when I started with TSC, I had real knife fights in that forum. Moderators were very soft. Insults were in half the posts. Then suddenly, I discovered RWA and realized moderators here in fact, acted as soon as there was something wrong in some post. Nowadays Steam DTG forum is still very far from what should be ,with plenty of people having hatred and negative opinions.

A lot of those people have been removed and all of their posts removed including back to last month. Yesterday a post was made with a rude comment and the rude comment was removed in a short time. Maybe buzz was just caught in the mass expulsion.

I really don't care. It's better if I don't read that junk anyway. Just to put a little historical perspective on this between all of us I don't think we have kicked five or six people off of here in all my years. Censor rude remarks and some choose to leave. I in particular have been accused of not allowing criticism. I allow any 'constructive' criticism just don't care for trashing stuff for entertainment purposes and certainly don't care for rude behavior and name calling. Those that don't understand what that is are just subject to editing.
Anyway carry on. **!!bow!!**

Allow me to salt the sauce. *!greengrin!*
In the Steam DTG forum (again related to FRCE thread) an appearance called HybridGrizzlyTrenchGun has been pounding me a couple hours ago and somewhat to Buzz. My posts in that thread were so short, as to deserve so long elaborated answers?

The huge difference that thorough forum moderation can achieve is really apparent here on RWA.

Thank you, Buzz, Chacal and all the others who are involved "behind the scenes" for keeping this site friendly and clean! *!!thnx!!*

By the way, a great and mutually beneficial way to support this site is to buy the GN Cascadian route:
viewtopic.php?f=80&t=21830
100% of its revenue goes to RWA. !*salute*!

Cheers,
Michael
