Validating Files.

I have been having sound issues over the last couple of days not just affecting my TS but even when playing YouTube videos. I'm still in the process of diagnosing the problem but think it started after an update of RW Enhancer 2 a couple of days ago. Anyway, I have verified my TS files which took about a couple of hours and found that 330. GB of files need validating which is going to take about a couple of hours. The sound stutters started when playing a scenario on TS and others were the same. I thought that I had fixed the issue as I was able to play YouTube videos again and was able to run TS but after a while, the sound stutters came back and also on Youtube videos plus other sounds. If RW Enhancer 2 is the issue I might not install it again and go back to the pro version.

Just to sum it up I did Verify the Integrity of game files for TS and after it had finished said some files needed to be reacquired so I went into the Steam downloads section and it was validating 330.3 GB.

Do you have this issue with RWE 2 not running or only with it running?

I have uninstalled RW 2 and still have sound stutters playing Youtube videos. I have not tried TS yet but most likely it will be the same. I have just upgraded on Tuesday my graphics card to an Asus Geforce RTX 3050 8 GB card and was thinking if this is causing problems but the sound issues didn't start until after an RW Enhancer 2 update on Wednesday. I have run all sorts of diagnoses on my sounds software and everything appears ok. I'm running Blue Tooth Logitech Z407s. Maybe a faulty Blue Tooth driver. I can run these speakers as ordinary speakers by connecting them up to my computer with an audio cable that comes with the speakers. I shall give this a go tomorrow Sunday in NZ. 9:45 Saturday night here getting time for bed. I'm not saying RW 2 is the culprit but it is the most plausible thing at the moment.

I thought that I had the sounds all sorted this morning as I played Youtube videos for maybe 30 minutes with no issue. I then ran part 2 of the first scenario in Pennsylvania Steam and just as I finished it the sound stutters started to creep back in that's with RW Enhancer 2 running.

After the validation, it only had to download about 800 MB of files.

I think that I may have fixed the issue. I think that RW Enhancer Pro had somehow adjusted my blue tooth settings. With the Logitech Z407 Blue Tooth speakers, you have wireless volume control and underneath it, you have two buttons to put it into 4 different connection modes. You have no indication to know what mode you are in so it is a bit of trial and error. I just put it into the connection mode while playing a Youtube video until it stopped stuttering. I have gone back to RW Enhancer Pro. Whether that caused the problem I don't know as I'm the kind of person who doesn't like laying the blame on anyone or anything unless you have concrete evidence but the stutters did start when I was running a scenario on the Yellowhead Pass route.

I have run TS for about 20 minutes with no sound stutters.

RW 2 is causing my sound stutters on my Logitech Bluetooth Z407 Speakers. I opened up RW2 yesterday and there was an update that I installed and cooked the files. I try to play Far Cry 6 and there was a lot of stutter in the sound. I tried to fix it by trying various repair options and none of them worked. After trying this for an hour or so I uninstalled RW 2 and spent another hour or so doing the repairs again and finally got my sounds back stutter-free. These speakers have a wireless volume control with the BlueTooth detect button on them. Before I uninstalled RW 2 my computer wouldn't even pick that up. I have written to RW Enhancer support about this issue. I'm quite happy using RW Pro at the moment which works fine.

Running it every day with no issues. Scary what the wonderful world of computers is doing to you.
