railworks 3 smoke

Unread postby canadiannational1996 » Sun Aug 14, 2011 7:51 pm

I noticed when i was driving locomotives on the Hatchet Hill Quary route, which is trainsimulator 2012 compatible, that the smoke which comes out of the locomotives stack was taking the shape of the roof of the shed.It was still going through the shed ceiling, but i noticed a diffrence comparing it to other routes. Therefore, I thought since it is compatible with trainsim 3 it could have some features not fully developed of it.Here are some images

Hiya, if you look at the exhaust in the first picture, it is not strait up, probably making an illusion of smoke following the roof.

The first one appears to be two emitters in a V shape ( which I guess is a 37 ), only with one side of the roof clipping the smoke before the other one. Sorry :(

Hm, they'd need collision boxes. Do they have collision boxes?

In MSTS, I have used a road section in the roof of a covered bridge to block most of the smoke from going through it.
It doesn't block it all, but does make it blow out the sides of the roof more than just straight through the top.

I don't know if that would work in RW or not.
