RW Enhancer & AP Weather Mods

Unread postby ozinoz » Sun Dec 23, 2018 7:32 pm

First off, Merry Xmas to everybody here. No matter how you celebrate; enjoy. Going to be a hot one here this year; 35 tomorrow, rising to 41+ by Thursday and then onto at least Sunday. (and that is C not F :D )

Have been looking at the screenies posted of the newly released RW enhancer, and it certainly looks interesting, particularly in the realm of locomotive lighting and shading. Does any body know how well this plays with the new Armstrong Powerhouse Weather Mod? Don't want to buy one and find it doesn't play well with others and at this time of year, there is a finite amount of $ available for my toys *!lol!* , so I want to get the right one...

*!!thnx!!*

!*cheers*!

I have both of them installed and all things look good.

Be advised the AP weather mod takes a bit of fiddling to get to work with any US route.

This was posted over at UKTS:

Stunning! As someone above said, better than the freeware version, and when used in conjunction with AP's Weather & Lighting pack, it feels like a whole new game!

I’m using them together, I haven’t really had a chance to fiddle with them too much, but I did try setting both up on Maria’s and the results looked great. I’ll post a screenshot when I’m at my computer.

Can anybody that bought it verify if it still has the same issues the freeware version had where using the SSAO mode made for a lot of missing shadows on outside objects while at the same time actually enhancing the shadows inside the cab? !**conf**!

That’s a pretty big bug and I’m not sure it’s completely worth it until it’s fixed.

It does not. The SSAO is adjustable/togglable actually.
