Ash pit

Not sure just where to post this, so here was as good as any...

I am looking for am ash pit, or at least fire cleaning facilities. I am thinking more NG type, where the loco runs up a slight embankment and over a length of track that has no sleepers, so the fire can be cleaned and the ashes dropped. Just wondering if anybody knew of a route that had one that would be usable for a project I have in mind. There are water towers, coal stages and bunkers, but I don't recall seeing one of these. How difficult is it to create one? Justa thought...

*!!thnx!!*

!*cheers*!

The RWA Lakeside route has a good firepit. And good all-around engine service facilities. You can lay track with no ties over the ashpit. There are several tracktypes that include rails-only.

Yes there are a few around. Seen one with smoke coming from it. Might of been a Just Trains route.
